INTERIOR DESIGNER / INTERIOR ARCHITECT

• Full-time – 30 / 40 hours a week
• Expected Start Date: Immediate with 3 month probationary period
• 4+ years local experience is desired

Complete Home is a Drummoyne based studio offering end to end approach for architectural and interior design services, specialising in detailed residential; renovations, alterations and additions & new builds Sydney wide with a growing presence in additional neighbouring states.

We provide a turn-key design service to projects with a creative holistic approach that must have a primary focus on designer and client interaction.

We are looking for a talented interior designer with an exceptional creative ability to drive interior projects from start to finish, who possesses great product knowledge, experience with documentation and who is confident & competent working on multiple projects from concept to completion – in a fast paced, inspiring & supportive all female team environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team with a focus on residential and commercial projects encompassing design, drafting, and compliance. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of the design process, including concept development, 3D modelling, rendering and documentation. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in specification, material sourcing, and procurement.

 

This role is also client facing with a primary focus on the client experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

1.⁠ ⁠Residential Projects Design and Drafting:

• ⁠Creative ability to develop strong conceptual design based on the client brief
• Ability to work along side the Creative Director and translate their ideas and suggestions
• Strong sense of ability to interpret client brief and produce a design concept to the clients expectation
• Exceptional eye of design details, material and colour pallet coordination

2.⁠ ⁠3D Modelling and Rendering:

• Utilise advanced skills in Revit and SketchUp Pro software to create visually appealing 3D models and renderings to communicate your concept to the client and creative director

3.⁠ ⁠Material Specification & Sourcing :

• Collaborate with the design team to identify suitable materials and finishes for projects.
• ⁠Facilitate the sourcing and procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials within budget constraints.

4.⁠ ⁠Drafting & Documentation:

• Experience and competency to develop design concepts into construction documentation is required
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards throughout the design and approval process.
• Have an advanced skill in Revit and SketchUp Pro & execute precise drafting tasks, including plans, elevations, details, and shop drawings, adhering to industry standards and project requirements.

5.⁠ ⁠Support for Design and Construction Teams:

• Assist design and construction teams throughout various project phases, providing technical expertise and coordination support.
• ⁠Contribute to the seamless integration of design concepts into construction documentation and implementation.

6.⁠ ⁠Client Communication and Collaboration:

• Confidence to present to clients
• Ability to manage client relationships, ability to communicate and focus on the client experience
• Address client feedback and incorporate revisions to ensure alignment with expectations and objectives

ABOUT YOU

• Minimum of 4 to 6+ years of demonstrated LOCAL experience in the Australian interior design industry, with a focus on residential projects (Some experience with F & B and Commercial is beneficial)
• Exceptional organisational abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet project deadlines
• Creative ability to develop strong conceptual design based on the client brief
• Proven design, documentation and delivery towards residential projects (F&B / Commercial may be beneficial)
• Proficient in Revit is essential
• Strong communicator
• Strong technical knowledge
• Have excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to multi task and work on more than one project at a time
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively
• Have a can-do mentality
• Current drivers license with access to a vehicle

Salary to be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience and portfolio.
