Industrial Designer – Dandenong South

Designed in Australia and distributed throughout the world!

My client is a leader in the design, manufacture and installation of suspension components and 4×4 aftermarket accessories.

About You

 

• Tertiary qualifications or similar in Industrial Engineering-Industrial Design – rendering, modelling, etc
• Strong ability to translate ideas and concepts into tangible designs – creativity and conceptual thinking
• Excellent Solidworks skills – modelling, surfacing, drafting & FEA
• Rhino 3D, Fusion 360, NX and Creaform VX Elements, VX Model and similar will be highly regarded
• Well developed English written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of tooling design and designing for manufacture with plastic and sheetmetal components
• A good knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication and assembly
• A minimum of 3 years experience in 4×4 aftermarket product design
• Current drivers license
• Experience with automotive engineering and compliance standards
• A collaborative team player

What you will be doing:

 

• 3D CAD design, modelling, surfacing and rendering
• Liaising with product managers and suppliers
• Supporting product fitment and testing
• Planning, multi-tasking and managing time effectively
• Ensuring products comply with regulatory requirements
• Reporting and carrying out assessments of products prior to release
• Collaborating with the Product Development Team
• Adhering to company policies and procedures
• Other tasks as defined by the General Manager and Product Manager
