Overview of WAMA – The National Centre for Environmental Art:

Spanning 16 hectares of woodlands, wetlands and botanic gardens, WAMA will explore the deep interconnection between art, science and nature. The centrepiece: a world-class gallery dedicated to art inspired by the natural environment.

The WAMA Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation jointly funded by the Victorian Government’s Regional Tourism Investment Fund, private philanthropy and donations.

WAMA will open to the public in 2025.

Overview of the role:

The Experience & Engagement Manager is a multi-faceted role for an energetic individual who will be responsible for WAMA’s visitor experience, retail and venue hire operations and membership program, with additional duties relating to event support, volunteer management and the engagement of public programming facilitators.

Reports to: CEO

Direct reports: Gallery and retail casuals, volunteers, public programming/education contractors.

Position type: Full-time, negotiable. Flexible conditions available.

Salary details: $85,000 salary p.a. + superannuation

Employment period: Permanent ongoing role. Starting date to be negotiated with successful applicant.
