Campaspe Shire Council is a vibrant regional community in northern Victoria on the traditional lands of the Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Peoples. Campaspe is home to many artists, creatives, arts and cultural organisations, and local groups. The unique mix of great weather, culture, food and wine, natural assets and events attracts increasing numbers of visitors and residents each year.

In 2022 and then again in 2024 Campaspe Shire was severely impacted by significant flood events. The effect of these flood events continues to be felt throughout our communities. Council acknowledges the importance of arts and cultural development in assisting with recovery from such disasters, through enhancing community wellbeing and interaction, reigniting tourism and supporting local economic activity to drive creative resilience and capacity building. The development of a new Arts Festival/Program will tell stories, reflect lived experience, illustrate resilience and showcase the vibrancy and uniqueness of our place, in turn helping to heal and move our communities forward.

As the Creative Producer, you will develop and deliver an Arts Festival/Program in collaboration with cross-functional teams. As a key part of this role, you will lead the community co-design groups to develop and implement a new arts/festival program.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a contemporary arts field and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience in project management including the development and delivery of arts projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with and managing positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly developed planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Valid National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
