Geelong Gallery is one of the most progressive and highly respected public galleries in Australia. Are you our next Assistant Curator? If so, you will have a strong knowledge of the functions and roles of a major art museum, gained from practical curatorial experience within a museum environment; a demonstrated ability to research and develop engaging exhibition content, including undertaking original research, preparing exhibition checklists and copy for various applications; and demonstrable experience or special interest in the history and contemporary practices of Australian and international printmaking.

Working within the Cultural Programming unit and reporting directly to the Senior Curator, the primary focus of the Assistant Curator position is to support and contribute to the development and delivery of the Gallery’s exhibition program, and the research, management, interpretation, and presentation of the Colin Holden Print Collection (CHPC). The CHPC is on long-term loan to Geelong Gallery and comprises over 1,500 Australian and international prints, bookplates, archival records and reference books.
