This is an exciting opportunity to lead the artistic vision of Festival of Voices – a unique singing & music annual event in Tasmania. The role offers creative freedom, flexible working conditions, & collaboration with a passionate team in a supportive & inclusive environment.

Main function of the role
In this role, you will lead Festival of Voices’s artistic vision and programming, ensuring participants and audiences a cohesive and engaging experience. You will act as a key spokesperson for the festival, representing its brand and values while driving artistic excellence.
Other tasks in this position include:
- Collaborate with the General Manager and the team to curate the festival’s artistic program, securing performers and artists who align with the festival’s spirit and vision
- Provide artistic leadership and co-organisational guidance
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and partners
- Manage individual event budgets, apply for grants and funding applications and reporting to support festival initiatives
- Promote a positive team culture and maintain strong rapport among team members.
- Speak on behalf of the festival and engaging with media and public audiences.

What skills you need to bring
- Proven leadership experience with a background in creative programming and producing
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including media engagement
- Experience in budget management and grant writing
- Knowledge of the contemporary arts, entertainment, and music industries
- A deep understanding of the festival’s vision and values, with the ability to grow and evolve the brand
