West End Live Reveals 2025 Line-Up for 20th-Anniversary Weekend in Trafalgar Square

London’s biggest free celebration of musical theatre returns on 21 and 22 June, with the Society of London Theatre confirming a bumper 2025 line-up for West End Live. The two-day event, now marking its 20th anniversary, will once again transform Trafalgar Square into an outdoor performance arena, welcoming thousands of fans on a first-come, first-served basis.

Two days, 60-plus shows

Performances will run from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday and noon to 5 pm on Sunday, featuring cast appearances and live numbers from more than 60 productions:

  • Global juggernauts: Hamilton, The Lion King, Les Misérables, Wicked, Mamma Mia!, The Book of Mormon, Cabaret, Moulin Rouge!, and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical

  • Recent transfers and revivals: MJ The Musical, Operation Mincemeat, Back to the Future, Starlight Express, Hadestown, Six, The Phantom of the Opera, Matilda, and Oliver!

  • New titles and fan favourites: Disney’s Hercules, The Devil Wears Prada, Titanique, Clueless, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Peaky Blinders, Burlesque, The Producers, My Neighbour Totoro, and more.

Special segments such as Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, Roles We’ll Never Play, and concert sets under the “Westway Presents” banner will round out the weekend.

Access and logistics

Admission is free, with no tickets required. Theatre-goers with accessibility needs are encouraged to apply for a Nimbus Access Card or a complimentary West End Live Digital Access Pass to secure priority entry and viewing zones. Organisers will publish a detailed performance schedule and any last-minute additions in the coming weeks.

A milestone year

First staged in Leicester Square in 2005 before relocating to Trafalgar Square, West End Live has grown into a signature summer tradition, drawing audiences of all ages and showcasing London’s theatrical breadth—from blockbuster spectacles to fringe discoveries. The 2025 edition promises the event’s largest roster to date, underscoring the capital’s enduring status as a global hub for live entertainment.
