MCC Theater’s annual Miscast gala is one of the most exciting and unique theater events in town. Broadway’s hottest stars perform songs from roles in which they would NEVER be cast. And the results are thrilling!

This year, the fundraiser featured members of the Original Broadway Cast of Hairspray, Ingrid Michaelson, Lauren Ridloff, Robbie Fairchild, Adrienne Warren, Rob McClure, Phillipa Soo, Isaac Powell, Norbert Leo Butz, Beanie Feldstein, Leslie Odom Jr, Nicolette Robinson, Joshua Henry, and Heather Headley.

Funds raised from Miscast help MCC Theater produce some of the most talked-about new work Off-Broadway and support our Youth Company and in-school partnerships that serve New York City public high school students, as well as our literary development work with emerging playwrights.

Gabi Bergman

Gabi Bergman (she/her) is a Melbourne-based performer and educator, and the current Deputy Editor-in-Chief of AussieTheatre.com. She holds a double degree in Theatre Studies and Film/Screen Studies, along with a Master of Teaching (Secondary Education). A passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity in the arts, Gabi brings her deep love of storytelling to the stage, the page, and the classroom. A lifelong lover of theatre, she spends more on tickets than she’d like to admit. Her most prized possession is her ever-growing collection of theatre programs.
