The Notebook Musical to Embark on North American Tour in 2025

The Notebook, the musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ beloved novel, which is currently playing at Broadway’s Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, is hitting the road in 2025 for a North American tour.

Kicking off in September 2025, the tour will begin at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio, with more cities and casting details to be announced down the line.

Producers Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch shared their excitement about bringing this iconic love story to audiences across the country. The Notebook has captivated fans as a novel and a film, and now it’s winning hearts on stage with a moving score by Ingrid Michaelson and a book by Tony nominee Bekah Brunstetter.

The musical tells the timeless story of Allie and Noah, two lovers whose relationship endures despite the obstacles that try to keep them apart. The Broadway production features Jordan Tyson as Younger Allie, Joy Woods as Middle Allie, and Tony winner Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie. John Cardoza plays Younger Noah, with Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah and Dorian Harewood as Older Noah.

Co-directed by Michael Greif (Dear Evan Hansen, Next to Normal) and Schele Williams (Aida, The Wiz), the show also features choreography by Katie Spelman. The creative team includes scenic design by David Zinn and Brett J. Banakis, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, and projection design by Lucy Mackinnon. The production’s music supervisor is Carmel Dean, who worked on arrangements with Michaelson and orchestrations with John Clancy. Geoffrey Ko serves as the music director, with casting by Patrick Goodwin of The Telsey Office.

The Notebook was celebrated at the 2024 Tony Awards with three nominations, including Best Book of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for Plunkett, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for Harewood.

Fans of the story can look forward to experiencing this emotional journey live on stage as the tour makes its way across North America in 2025.
