The Broadway League issues a statement on coronavirus

With international concern regarding the spread of coronavirus mounting, The Broadway League has issued a statement telling audiences that the show must go on!

“The safety and security of our theatergoers and employees is our highest priority,” the statement says. “We are following the lead of our city, state and federal elected officials as we implement strategies recommended by public health authorities and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in all of our theatres and offices as all productions continue to play as scheduled.”

Theatres have increased their sanitisation efforts in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Alcohol based hand sanitisers have been placed throughout the theatre’s and in the lobby. The Broadway League does encourage people who are feeling unwell to seek medical attention and stay at home.
