The Bodyguard Musical to Embark on UK and Europe Tour in 2025

The Queen of the Night is returning to the stage! Producers Michael Harrison and David Ian have announced an exciting new UK and Europe tour of the hit musical The Bodyguard, set to launch in 2025.

Directed by Thea Sharrock, the musical is based on the iconic 1992 Warner Bros. film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. The show features a stunning book by Oscar-winning Alex Dinelaris and includes Whitney Houston’s greatest hits such as “Queen of the Night,” “Run to You,” “I Have Nothing,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and, of course, “I Will Always Love You.”

The story follows Frank Farmer, a former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, who is hired to protect pop superstar Rachel Marron from a mysterious stalker. As the sparks fly between them, the high-stakes drama unfolds, bringing together romance, suspense, and some of the most memorable songs in pop history.

Since its debut, The Bodyguard has captivated audiences worldwide, playing to nearly 4 million people across 15 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Italy, Australia, Spain, France, the USA, Austria, and Japan.

The new tour is set to kick off at Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre from September 20 to 27, 2025, before traveling to Blackpool, Oxford, Aberdeen, Milton Keynes, and Zurich, with additional dates in the UK and Europe to be announced. Fans can look forward to a spectacular production filled with electrifying performances and unforgettable songs.

Casting details will be revealed at a later date, adding to the anticipation for what promises to be another unforgettable chapter in The Bodyguard’s ongoing success.
