Star-Studded Cast Announced for Broadway Premiere of The Notebook Musical

The forthcoming Broadway adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ acclaimed novel ‘The Notebook’ has finalised its cast. This new musical, graced with Ingrid Michaelson’s score and Bekah Brunstetter’s book, is set to captivate audiences with its heartfelt narrative.

Under the co-direction of Michael Greif and Schele Williams, complemented by Katie Spelman’s choreography, the production has been lauded as an “earnest, deeply romantic tear-jerker” by TheaterMania. The diverse cast includes Andréa Burns, Yassmin Alers, Alex Benoit, Chase Del Rey, Hillary Fisher, Jerome Harmann-Hardeman, Dorcas Leung, Happy McPartlin, Juliette Ojeda, Kim Onah, Carson Stewart, Charles E Wallace, and Charlie Webb, each assuming various roles.

Joining the ensemble are Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie, Joy Woods as Middle Allie, Jordan Tyson as Younger Allie, alongside Dorian Harewood as Older Noah, Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah, and John Cardoza as Younger Noah.

The production boasts a stellar creative team, with scenic design by David Zinn and Brett J Banakis, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting by Ben Stanton, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg. Mia Neal brings expertise in hair and wig design. The musical supervision is helmed by Carmel Dean, collaborating with Michaelson on arrangements and with John Clancy on orchestrations, while Geoffrey Ko serves as the music director.

‘The Notebook’ is scheduled to start previews at the Schoenfeld Theatre on Broadway from 6 February 2024, with an official opening night set for 14 March.
