RuPaul’s Drag Race Star Announces Solo Musical Tour

Drag performer and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Bosco is set to embark on a major new theatrical venture this year with the launch of THE MARVELLOUS MISS GENDER, a solo musical tour that will travel across the United States. The production will visit more than 30 cities, introducing audiences to a flamboyant new stage persona and a genre-blending theatrical experience.

The show is described as a two-act musical comedy that combines elements of cabaret, drag performance, musical theatre and stand-up comedy. At the centre of the production is Bosco’s alter ego, Miss Gender, a flamboyant supervillain figure who anchors the story and drives the show’s theatrical narrative. The tour is scheduled to launch on 8 July 2026 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Detroit, before travelling to venues across the country. Stops will include well-known theatres and concert venues such as The Town Hall in New York City, The Wilbur in Boston, the House of Blues in Dallas, and The Wiltern in Los Angeles, among others.

Tickets for the production went on presale in March, with general public sales following shortly afterward. The tour is expected to run throughout the summer and reach 33 cities in total, making it Bosco’s largest theatrical project to date.
Best known for competing on season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Bosco quickly became a fan favourite thanks to her distinctive blend of gothic glamour, theatrical camp and dark humour. The performer, whose real name is Blair Constantino, later returned to the franchise as a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race ALL STARS, further expanding her profile within the global drag and LGBTQ+ entertainment communities. Since appearing on the show, Bosco has built a reputation for highly stylised drag performances that combine fashion, satire and storytelling. Her work frequently draws on references from comic books, horror films and pop culture, creating a visual style that mixes glamour with tongue-in-cheek villainy.

THE MARVELLOUS MISS GENDER builds directly on that aesthetic, presenting Bosco as a theatrical anti-hero figure navigating a heightened, comic-book-inspired world. According to production notes, the show blends burlesque, dance, lip-sync performance, satirical storytelling and high-fashion visuals, creating a stage spectacle that moves between comedy, music and narrative theatre. Bosco is heavily involved in shaping the production behind the scenes as well as on stage. In addition to starring in the show, she is also directing, co-writing and co-producing the project, giving the performer creative control over the concept and overall presentation. The musical format allows Bosco to expand beyond the short performance segments typically associated with drag shows and present a more sustained theatrical narrative. The production is described as “cinematic” in tone, suggesting a larger-scale visual and storytelling approach than the performer’s previous stage work.

Drag performers have increasingly embraced theatrical formats in recent years, moving into concert tours, cabaret shows and full-scale stage productions. For many artists emerging from reality television platforms such as RuPaul’s Drag Race, live touring has become an important way to connect directly with audiences and build long-term creative projects. Bosco’s new musical tour follows a broader trend of drag performers experimenting with narrative-driven stage shows. Rather than presenting a traditional drag revue format, productions like The Marvelous Miss Gender seek to blend storytelling, comedy and music into a cohesive theatrical experience. The character of Miss Gender, introduced in the show, appears to draw inspiration from comic-book villains and camp theatrical traditions. By framing the story around a larger-than-life antagonist figure, the show leans into the playful theatricality that has long been central to drag performance. For Bosco, the project represents a significant step in expanding her creative output beyond television and club performances. Developing and touring a theatrical show allows performers to experiment with longer narratives, larger visual concepts and a more structured stage format.

The upcoming tour also reflects the growing crossover between drag culture and mainstream theatre audiences. Over the past decade, drag performers have increasingly appeared in musicals, cabaret productions and touring stage events, while drag-themed theatre has become a prominent feature of contemporary performance culture. THE MARVELLOUS MISS GENDER positions Bosco within that evolving landscape, presenting drag not simply as a nightclub performance style but as a theatrical form capable of supporting full narrative productions.

As the tour prepares to launch this summer, anticipation is building among fans eager to see Bosco’s distinctive performance style translated into a large-scale stage event. With its mix of musical theatre, comedy and visual spectacle, the show aims to deliver an evening that is both flamboyant and theatrical.

For audiences across the United States, the production offers the opportunity to experience a drag performance reimagined as a full theatrical spectacle, complete with narrative storytelling, musical numbers and a supervillain at the centre of it all.
