A private industry reading of DOLHINOV, an evocative new musical inspired by events in the Polish town of DOLHINOV during World War II, is scheduled to take place in Manhattan on 20 February.

The project, developed with book and lyrics by Helen R. Murray and music by Louis Josephson, is being directed by Arpita Mukherjee with music direction from Connor Doran.

The ensemble cast features performers with credits in contemporary musical theatre, including:
Noah Kieserman (The Last Five Years)
Aubrey Matalon (Six)
Cydney Kutcipal (Jagged Little Pill)
Noa Luz Barenblat (Fiddler on the Roof)
Lucia Spina (Into the Woods)

DOLHINOV tells the story of a family forced to flee their home as war ravages their world. Through the eyes of 12-year-old Simon and the resilient resistance fighter Kiselev, the musical explores themes of loss, survival and the power of unexpected hope.

The creative team for the reading also includes stage manager Kyra Bowie, associate music director Miguel Sutedjo, child guardian Eitan Markowitz, and production assistants Ella Lao and Gabriella Rita Pafumi, with casting by TRC Casting’s Kevin Metzger-Timson and Olivia West.

General management is provided by Zachary Hausman Productions, and the piece is produced by Brian Chevlin of Butterfly Theatrical Productions LLC.
