Princess Diana musical completes casting for its Broadway premiere

A musical about Princess Diana’s story will soon open on Broadway. Full casting for the upcoming production has been announced. Diana: A True Musical Story follows Diana as she prepares to marry into the royal family. The show goes on to explore the fallout from the much publicised affair of her former husband Prince Charles with Camilla Parker Bowles.

The cast features Zach Adkins (Anastasia), Tessa Alves (Beetlejuice), Ashley Andrews (King Kong), Austen Danielle Bohmer (Days of Rage), Holly Ann Butler (Come From Away), Stephen Carrasco (Anastasia), Bruce Dow (Jesus Christ Superstar), Richard Gatta (Bright Star), Lauren E.J. Hamilton (The Tempest), Emma Hearn (Cats), Shaye Hopkins (The Doctor Blake Mysteries), Andre Jordan (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Gareth Keegan (Sell By), Nathan Lucrezio (Aladdin), Tomas Matos (Kiss My Aztec), Chris Medlin (Mean Girls), Laura Stracko (Fun Center) and Bethany Ann Tesarck (Bye Bye Birdie).

The Broadway production will feature music and lyrics by David Bryan, Book and Lyrics by Joe DiPietro and is directed by Christopher Ashley.

The Broadway production will feature scenic design by David Zinn, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Gareth Owen and orchestrations by John Clancy.

The show will begin previews on March 2 and officially open at the Longacre Theatre on March 31.
