Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren to Star in ‘The Last Five Years’ on Broadway in April 2025

The Last Five Years, the beloved musical by Jason Robert Brown, is making its way back to the stage with none other than Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren leading the cast. Directed by Whitney White, this revival will start previews at the Hudson Theatre on March 18, 2025, with the official opening night set for April 6. Mark your calendars because it’s a limited 14-week run, and tickets go on sale to the public on July 26.

For those unfamiliar, ‘The Last Five Years’ tells the story of Jamie, a rising author played by Jonas, and Cathy, an aspiring actress played by Warren, as they navigate their relationship over five years. What makes it unique? Jamie’s story is told from beginning to end, while Cathy’s story is told in reverse, starting at the end of their marriage. Their timelines intersect just once, making for a really interesting narrative.

This musical has a rich history. It first premiered in Chicago in 2001 before hitting off-Broadway in 2002 with Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott. It’s won awards, had several revivals, and even got a film adaptation in 2015 starring Jeremy Jordan and Anna Kendrick.

Stay tuned for more details about the creative team behind this revival. It’s shaping up to be a must-see event!
