Mrs. Doubtfire musical comedy goes on tour across North America

Prepare to laugh until your sides hurt as Mrs. Doubtfire takes the stage once again for a North American tour this fall! This musical comedy adaptation, based on the iconic 90s film, is set to deliver the same heartwarming and hilarious story that captured our hearts decades ago.

Kicking off with its premiere performance at Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, New York, this tour will take the show on the road to other cities across the United States, including Nashville, Minneapolis, Durham, Orlando, and Los Angeles, with additional dates and locations to be announced soon.

 

 

Directed by the four-time Tony Award-winning Jerry Zaks, who also directed the Broadway production, this musical extravaganza features a talented creative team including book writers Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, and music and lyrics by Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick. The production also boasts phenomenal choreography by Lorin Latarro, music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Ethan Popp, stunning scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by Brian Ronan, and hair and wig design by David Brian Brown.

Despite numerous pandemic-related delays, the Broadway production of Mrs. Doubtfire took its final bow on May 29, 2022, leaving audiences hungry for more. So, be sure to get your tickets and experience this one-of-a-kind show that will have you laughing in the aisles!

Mrs. Doubtfire is a musical adaptation of the beloved 90s film of the same name. The story follows Daniel Hillard, a struggling actor and father who goes to great lengths to stay in the lives of his children after separating from his wife. He comes up with a wild and unconventional plan to disguise himself as a female housekeeper, Mrs. Doubtfire, in order to spend time with his children and win back his ex-wife’s heart. The musical adaptation promises to deliver the same heartwarming and hilarious story that captured our hearts decades ago.
