‘Mrs Doubtfire’ Musical Announces Extended Run in West End Until 2025

The Shaftesbury Theatre’s West End production of ‘Mrs Doubtfire,’ a musical adaptation of the beloved film starring Robin Williams, has announced an extension of its booking period through 16 February 2025.

The musical, which centers on a divorced man’s extraordinary efforts to stay close to his children, features Gabriel Vick, known for his role in ‘Avenue Q,’ as the lead character, Daniel Hillard. The production has received positive reviews, including praise from WhatsOnStage for being a “thoroughly enjoyable musical that wears its heart on its sleeve.”

Joining Vick in the cast are Laura Tebbutt as Miranda Hillard, Carla Dixon-Hernandez as Lydia Hillard, Cameron Blakely as Frank Hillard, Marcus Collins as Andre, Samuel Edwards as Stuart Dunmire, Ian Talbot as Mr. Jolly, and Kelly Agbowu as Wanda Sellner. The ensemble further includes Nicole Carlisle, Joshua Dever, Joseph Dockree, Rebecca Donnelly, Amy Everett, Maria Garrett, Kiera Haynes, Vicki Lee Taylor, Adam Lyons, Lisa Mathieson, Corey Mitchell, Ellie Mitchell, Matt Overfield, Rhys Owen, Christopher Parkinson, Micha Richardson, Tom Scanlon, Paulo Teixeira, and Samuel Wilson-Freeman.

The child cast features Herbie Byers, Benjamin Dalton, and Parker Newman alternating as Christopher Hillard, and Ellemie Shivers, Rachelle Viola Bonfield-Bell, and Felicity Walton sharing the role of Natalie Hillard.

‘Mrs Doubtfire’ showcases original music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, with a book co-written by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell. The production is helmed by Tony award-winning director Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Lorin Latarro, and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Ethan Popp. The creative team also includes scenic designer David Korins, costume designer Catherine Zuber, lighting designer Philip S Rosenberg, sound designer Brian Ronan, hair designer David Brian Brown, with casting by Stuart Burt and children’s casting by Verity Naughton.
