Listen to Footprints in the Sand, the newest song from The Prince Of Egypt

One of the most beloved and acclaimed animated movies of all time, The Prince of Egypt is set to make its West End premiere in February 2020.

The following is taken from the The Prince of Egypt website:

The Prince of Egypt features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) and a book by Philip LaZebnik (Mulan, Pocahontas). They collaborated on the film of The Prince of Egypt.

The Academy Award®-winning song When You Believe was recorded by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey in 1998, becoming a global hit. In 2007, the song was also chosen by Simon Cowell as the winner’s single for The X-Factor, spending three weeks at the top of the UK charts. Around the world, Stephen Schwartz’s smash hit stage musical Wicked has already been seen by 60 million people in 16 countries. The London production at the Apollo Victoria Theatre is now the 9th longest running musical in West End history.

The Prince of Egypt features 10 new songs written by Stephen Schwartz, together with 5 of his acclaimed songs from the DreamWorks Animation film, including Deliver Us, All I Ever Wanted, Through Heaven’s Eyes and the Academy Award®-winning When You Believe. A developmental production of The Prince of Egypt premiered on stage in North America in October 2017 and was acclaimed as “a breathtaking musical with originality and depth, theatricality and spectacle” (BroadwayWorld) and “a theatrically stunning take on an iconic story and film that individuals of all ages will love” (Stanford Daily).
