The upcoming Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town has finalized its cast, just in time for the show’s debut at the Barrymore Theatre on September 17, with the official opening set for October 10.
Leading the cast of 28 is Jim Parsons, who will take on the role of the Stage Manager, with Zoey Deutch as Emily Webb and Katie Holmes as Mrs. Webb. The production also features a talented lineup including Billy Eugene Jones as Dr. Gibbs, Ephraim Sykes as George Gibbs, Richard Thomas as Mr. Webb, Michelle Wilson as Mrs. Gibbs, Julie Halston as Mrs. Soames, and Donald Webber Jr. as Simon Stimson.
Newcomers to the ensemble include Ricardo Vázquez, known for The Inheritance, and Greg Wood, who recently toured with To Kill a Mockingbird. They join previously announced ensemble members such as Ephie Aardema, Heather Ayers, and Bryonha Marie, among others.
The creative team for Our Town includes scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Allen Lee Hughes, sound design by Justin Ellington, and dialect coaching by Kate Wilson.
Our Town is a timeless drama set in the small village of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, and has been a staple of American theater since its Broadway debut in 1938, where it earned the Pulitzer Prize. This upcoming production marks the first major Broadway revival of the classic play in nearly 25 years, promising to bring new life to Wilder’s enduring masterpiece.
