Jane Krakowski will step into the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in Broadway’s runaway hit Oh, Mary! for an eight-week engagement beginning October 14.
The 30 Rock star joins the production following Jinkx Monsoon, who will conclude her acclaimed run on September 28. Between Monsoon’s departure and Krakowski’s arrival, long-time understudy Hannah Solow, who has been with the production since its Off-Broadway run, will lead performances from September 30 through October 12.
The role of Mary Todd Lincoln was created and originally performed by Cole Escola, who also penned the play and won a Tony Award for their performance. Since then, the part has been embraced by a rotating roster of high-profile talents including Tituss Burgess and Betty Gilpin, alongside Monsoon.
Krakowski is no stranger to the Broadway stage. She earned a Tony Award for her turn as Carla in the revival of Nine and Tony nominations for Grand Hotel and She Loves Me. Her additional credits include Company, Once Upon a Mattress, Tartuffe, and Starlight Express. Beyond Broadway, she won an Olivier Award for her performance in Guys and Dolls on the West End.
Directed by Sam Pinkleton, who won a Tony Award for his work on the production, Oh, Mary! officially opened on Broadway on July 11, 2024. Since then, the show has broken its own box office record twelve times and became the first production of the 2024–25 season to recoup its investment.
Tickets for Oh, Mary! are currently on sale through July 5, 2026, ensuring audiences will have plenty of opportunities to see Krakowski and future cast members in Escola’s wildly inventive comedy.
