The West End production of ‘Hamilton’ is set to welcome back Harry Hepple, known for his role in ‘Romantics Anonymous’, in early next year for a limited engagement. This announcement follows the news that Joel Montague, currently starring in ‘Hamilton’, will be taking a hiatus from the show.
Montague, who has been a part of the ‘School of Rock’ cast, will depart from ‘Hamilton’ starting 15 January to take on a role in ‘Just For One Day’, a new jukebox musical slated for its world premiere in early 2024. Hepple, who previously graced the ‘Hamilton’ stage during its West End reopening post-pandemic, is also preparing for a role in the upcoming production of ‘Hello, Dolly!’, starring Imelda Staunton, scheduled for next summer at The London Palladium.
Montague is expected to make his return to ‘Hamilton’ on 8 April 2024, concluding his involvement in the new Live Aid musical at the Old Vic, which announced its full cast this morning.
Meanwhile, ‘Hamilton’ continues to make its mark beyond the West End. The celebrated production is currently on its first UK and Ireland tour. Tonight, it celebrates its sixth anniversary at the Victoria Palace Theatre, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing success story in the theatre world.
