Hadestown to open in the West End

After an excruciating four-year wait, this extraordinary show is finally returning to the UK, and this time it’s making its way to the glittering stages of the West End!

Based on Anaïs Mitchell’s awe-inspiring concept album, Hadestown offers a stunningly original retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, infused with a mesmerizing blend of folk, jazz, and blues music that will transport you to a world beyond imagination. With Mitchell’s masterful touch, the show’s book, lyrics, and music come together to create a truly unforgettable experience that will stay with you long after the curtain falls.

Featuring unforgettable songs such as ‘Way Down Hadestown’, ‘Wait for Me’, and ‘All I’ve Ever Known’, Hadestown is a musical masterpiece that has won over audiences and critics alike. The show earned eight Tony Awards, including the coveted Best Musical award, and it’s easy to see why.

Directed by Rachel Chavkin and brought to life by a talented creative team, Hadestown promises to be a theatrical event like no other. The producers have confirmed a West End production that will open in London in 2024, with details about the venue, run dates, and casting yet to be announced.
