Full Cast Announced for Broadway’s Tammy Faye: Here’s Who’s Bringing the Show to New York!
The Broadway-bound musical Tammy Faye has officially announced its full cast, and it’s packed with talent ready to light up the stage at New York’s newly refurbished Palace Theatre this fall!
First seen at London’s Almeida Theatre, the show features music by the legendary Elton John, lyrics by Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, and a book by Olivier Award-winner James Graham. Previews kick off on October 19, 2024, with the official opening night set for November 14.
Leading the cast is two-time Olivier Award-winner Katie Brayben as Tammy Faye Bakker, joined by two-time Tony Award-winner Christian Borle as Jim Bakker, and two-time Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris as Reverend Jerry Falwell.
Other principal roles include Autumn Hurlbert as the Tammy Faye Bakker alternate, Nick Bailey as Paul Crouch, Charl Brown as Steve Pieters, Mark Evans as Billy Graham, Allison Guinn as Jan Crouch, and Ian Lassiter tackling multiple roles as Jimmy Swaggart, Ronald Reagan, and Archbishop. The cast also includes Raymond J Lee, Max Gordon Moore, Alana Pollard, and Andy Taylor.
The ensemble features an incredible group of performers, including Amanda Clement, Michael Di Liberto, Lily Kaufmann, Denis Lambert, and more.
Directed by Olivier Award-winner Rupert Goold, the production boasts choreography by Lynne Page, with scenic design by Bunny Christie and costume design by Katrina Lindsay. Lighting, video, and sound design are handled by Neil Austin, Finn Ross, and Nick Lidster, respectively. The music is orchestrated by Mark Dickman and Tom Deering, who also serves as the music supervisor.
