Frozen and The Lion King extent their West End seasons

Disney’s spectacular stage marvels, The Lion King and Frozen, continue to enchant audiences, lengthening their spellbinding run on the West End.

Celebrating its second year in London’s theatrical hub this summer, Frozen’s magical journey will now captivate audiences until January 7th. Frozen, on the other hand, is a relatively new entrant in the musical world, making its Broadway debut in 2018. But it has already etched its place in the hearts of audiences worldwide. The story of sisterly love set against a backdrop of unforgettable music and spectacular visuals has found resonance with a diverse audience. International productions have opened in Australia, Japan, and the UK, to name a few, and the show is all set for its German and Spanish premieres in the upcoming months. Alongside its global reach, Frozen has received critical acclaim, including a Tony Award nomination for Best Musical.

Meanwhile, the timeless saga of The Lion King has been extended until February 11th, 2024, a testament to its enduring allure. The Lion King, a magnificent spectacle of music, costumes, and puppetry, first roared onto the Broadway stage in 1997. It quickly became a sensation, captivating audiences across the globe. Today, it stands as one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history. Its international productions have enchanted viewers from London to Tokyo, Madrid to Johannesburg, exhibiting the universal appeal of its heartfelt story and captivating music. The Lion King has not only won numerous awards, including six Tony Awards, but also left an indelible cultural footprint that transcends borders.

The Theatre Royal Drury Lane, renowned for its grandeur, hosts the icy spectacle of Frozen, while the majestic Lyceum Theatre is home to the pridelands of The Lion King. Both productions continue to bask in the glow of solid critical acclaim.

Frozen, the stage adaptation of Disney’s record-breaking animated phenomenon, opened on Broadway in March 2018. With enchanting music and lyrics by the brilliant duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and a compelling book by Jennifer Lee, Frozen was rightfully recognized with a Tony Award nomination for Best Musical. The magic of Disney persists, unabated, on the West End.
