Fly More Than You Fall Set for UK Debut in London This Autumn

This autumn, the heartwarming new musical Fly More Than You Fall will make its UK premiere in London. With a book and lyrics by Eric Holmes (Wild About You) and music and lyrics by Nat Zegree (Million Dollar Quartet), this poignant show is sure to touch the hearts of audiences.

The story follows Malia, a young girl who finds herself navigating the emotional turbulence that comes with her mother’s terminal cancer diagnosis. Amidst the challenges, Malia discovers strength and comfort through her writing.

Directed by Christian Durham, Fly More Than You Fall will run at Southwark Playhouse Elephant from 18 October to 23 November. The cast is yet to be revealed, but anticipation is building.

Eric Holmes, known for his work on TV hits like The Good Fight and Smash, shared his personal connection to the story: “Nat and I created this show because we needed it. We’ve both experienced the profound loss of our parents at a young age, and we wanted to explore those feelings through this musical. Grief doesn’t have a timeline; it’s something you carry with you for life.”

The creative team also includes associate director Georgie Rankcom, movement director Heather Douglas, and orchestrations and arrangements by Daniel Edmonds. Casting is being handled by Pearson Casting CDG, with Marc David Levine, known for his work on Hadestown and Company, leading the production as the main producer.

Keep an eye out for casting announcements and prepare to experience a show that’s as uplifting as it is emotional.
