Evita to Return to the West End in 2025 with Jamie Lloyd at the Helm

A new revival of the iconic musical Evita is set to hit The London Palladium next summer, under the direction of acclaimed theatre director Jamie Lloyd. The production will run from 14 June to 6 September 2025, with the press night scheduled for 27 June.

This production marks the 14th collaboration between producer Michael Harrison and The London Palladium, a relationship that continues with the presentation of Evita. Harrison is thrilled to bring the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber classic back to the stage and work once more with Jamie Lloyd, following their successful partnership on Sunset Boulevard.

Jamie Lloyd, who previously worked with Harrison on Sunset Boulevard, is eager to take on Evita, considering it a privilege to revisit this musical masterpiece. The director is excited to reimagine the beloved show with a fresh perspective, continuing his collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Full details about the cast and creative team for the revival will be revealed in due course. Tickets for the production will be available for purchase in 2025, with a specific release date to be announced soon.

Evita, which premiered in 1976 with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, tells the story of Eva Perón, the influential first lady of Argentina. With timeless songs like “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” the musical has captivated audiences around the world for decades.

The 2025 revival promises to offer a new interpretation of this classic, bringing the story and its unforgettable music to life in the grandeur of The London Palladium. As excitement builds, theatre fans eagerly await the chance to experience this iconic musical once again.
