Earlier this week, Deadline reported that Colton Ryan and Nik Dodani are the next two cast members signing on to the Dear Evan Hansen film adaptation.
The pair have been cast as Connor and Jared respectively, joining the previously cast Amandla Stenberg as Alana, Kaitlyn Dever as Zoe, and Ben Platt as Evan.
Colton Ryan previously understudied the role of Connor (as well as Evan and Jared) in the Broadway production of Dear Evan Hansen, and has also been seen in Girl From The North Country (Broadway), The Americans (FX), Homeland (Showtime), and Little Voice (Apple TV+).
Nik Dodani recently starred in the Netflix original series Atypical, as well as Murphy Brown (CBS), and Escape Room (Columbia Pictures).
The film will be directed by Stephen Chbosky (Perks of Being A Wallflower), and is being produced by Marc Platt and Adam Siegel. Pasek and Paul, the pair behind the show’s music and lyrics, are executive producing.
