Billy Crudup and Denise Gough to Lead High Noon in the West End

This winter, London will host the world premiere stage adaptation of the classic film High Noon, with Emmy and Tony Award winner Billy Crudup and Olivier Award winner Denise Gough returning to the West End in the lead roles.

Adapted from Carl Foreman’s Oscar-winning 1952 screenplay, the play has been written by Academy Award winner Eric Roth (Forrest Gump) in his stage debut. The production will be directed by Olivier Award winner Thea Sharrock (The Bodyguard), bringing new life to the tense Western thriller.

Set in the American West of the 1800s, the story unfolds in real time as lawman Will Kane, played by Crudup, and his partner Amy Fowler, played by Gough, face a deadly countdown to the arrival of outlaw Frank Miller on the high noon train. The play promises a gripping exploration of loyalty, love, and moral conflict.

The creative team includes set and costume design by Tony and Olivier Award winner Tim Hatley, lighting design by Neil Austin, and music composition by Chris Egan. Casting is overseen by Jina Jay.

The production is produced by Paula Wagner, Tom Werner, Thomas Tull, Danny Cohen, and Len Blavatnik, with Mark Rubinstein as executive producer and Short Street Productions Ltd. as general managers.

High Noon will run at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 17 December 2025 to 7 March 2026. Tickets go on general sale from 25 September at 10 am.
