Mark your calendars from May 28 to June 15 because Platt is bringing a total of 15 performances to the stage. And who’s behind the magic? Michael Arden. If you loved Platt in ‘Parade’ last season, you’re in for a treat because Arden is directing this gig too. Expect a mix of jams from Platt’s new album (dropping May 31, by the way), along with hits from his previous albums, ‘Reverie’ and ‘Sing to Me Instead.’ Oh, and Platt’s teasing ‘a few surprises for fans,’ so be prepared for anything.
Stepping onto the Palace Theatre stage, Platt joins the ranks of legends like Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Diana Ross, Elvis Presley, and Josephine Baker. Yep, it’s a pretty big deal.
This concert series is the first event announced for the Palace Theatre since its renovation. Fun fact: they literally lifted the landmark venue 30 feet into the air during the restoration. How cool is that? But just a heads up, the team behind the scenes is playing it cool and not calling this the official reopening act. There might be some other events before Platt takes the spotlight, but either way, it’s going to be epic.
