Back to the Future: The Musical on Broadway reveals full cast

Tony Award winner Roger Bart leads the cast as Doc Brown, the quirky inventor who is the driving force behind Marty McFly’s time-traveling adventure. Casey Likes takes on the iconic role of Marty, bringing his own unique spin to the beloved character. Hugh Coles shines as George McFly, bringing heart and humor to his portrayal of Marty’s dad.

Liana Hunt, Jelani Remy, and Nathaniel Hackmann are just a few of the incredible performers who bring their A-game to this production. With their powerhouse vocals and show-stopping dance moves, they’ll have you on your feet and cheering for more.

Of course, no musical would be complete without an amazing creative team, and Back to the Future: The Musical does not disappoint. With a book by Bob Gale, the co-creator of the original film trilogy, and new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, the music in this production is nothing short of spectacular.

The production is directed by Tony Award winner John Rando and features a team of award-winning designers who create a visually stunning world that transports you back to the 1950s. From the incredible set and costume designs by Tim Hatley to the mesmerising lighting by Tim Lutkin and Hugh Vanstone, every detail of this production is carefully crafted to immerse you in the world of the story.

Back to the Future: The Musical is a stage adaptation of the classic 1985 science-fiction film ‘Back to the Future’ directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown. The musical brings the beloved story of Marty McFly, a teenager who accidentally travels back in time to 1955, to the stage with a blend of new music and fan-favorite moments from the film.

The show premiered at the Manchester Opera House in the UK on February 20, 2020, before making its way to the West End in London. The musical features music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, who have created new songs as well as adapted some of the iconic tunes from the original movie, such as “The Power of Love” and “Johnny B. Goode.”

The book for ‘Back to the Future: The Musical’ was written by Bob Gale, who co-wrote the original film’s screenplay with Robert Zemeckis. The stage production retains the film’s humor, adventure, and heart while incorporating dazzling stage effects and choreography to create an immersive theatrical experience for fans of the movie and newcomers alike.
