Award-Winning Revival of Sunset Boulevard Begins Performances Tonight on Broadway

The highly anticipated revival of Sunset Boulevard kicks off preview performances tonight at the St. James Theatre, with the official opening night set for October 20. Led by Nicole Scherzinger in the role of Norma Desmond, the production features Olivier Award-winner Tom Francis as Joe Gillis, Grace Hodgett Young as Betty Schaefer, and David Thaxton as Max Von Mayerling.

One of the most exciting questions surrounding tonight’s debut is the unique route Tom Francis will take when performing the iconic title number. Social media teasers have hinted at creative staging, with footage showing Francis rehearsing in the streets of New York, and rumors of a rooftop performance platform being constructed at the theatre. Fans are eager to see how this revival will push boundaries and bring fresh energy to the classic musical.
