Alyssa Milano to Make Her Broadway Debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago

LOS ANGELES – JAN 11: Alyssa Milano at the The Weinstein Company / Netflix Golden Globes After Party at a Beverly Hilton Adjacent on January 11, 2015 in Beverly Hills, CA

Alyssa Milano is stepping onto the Broadway stage for the first time, and fans couldn’t be more excited! The TV star, known for her roles in Who’s the Boss? and Charmed, is making her Broadway debut in the iconic musical Chicago. Starting September 16, Milano will take on the role of Roxie Hart at the Ambassador Theatre, where the Tony-winning production continues its record-breaking run.

Milano, who first found her love for performing at age eight in the national tour of Annie, shared her excitement: “I could not be more thrilled to return to my roots in musical theatre. Making my Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago is a dream come true for that little girl who just loved to sing, dance, and make people smile. I can’t wait to hit the stage.”

Milano joins a stellar cast that includes Robyn Hurder as Velma Kelly, Max von Essen as Billy Flynn, and NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron “Mama” Morton. The production has been a Broadway staple since 1996, becoming the second-longest running show in Broadway history. With its classic score by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and choreography by the late Ann Reinking, Chicago remains a must-see for theatre lovers.

Catch Alyssa Milano in Chicago from September 16 to November 10 at the Ambassador Theatre.
