Thanks to our friends at Opera Australia, we are thrilled to be giving away two PREMIUM TICKETS (total value $350) to Opera Australia’s Orpheus in the Underworld to one lucky AussieTheatre reader.
Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld was first performed in 1858, but this hilari re-imagining by Jonathan Biggins and Phil Scott, starring Todd McKenney, Mitchell Butel and Rachelle Durkin has been updated for a modern audience.
“The main reason that this production works is because it is genuinely hilarious. It’s rare for comedy in opera or operetta to be quite so outrageous.” – Ben Neutze’s review on AussieTheatre.
The winner (and guest) of this incredible prize will attend the opera on Friday 22 March at the renowned Sydney Opera House.
Date: Friday March 22 at 7:30pm
Venue: Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House
Competition closes Friday 15 March at 6:30pm AEDT and winners will be contacted via email/phone.
