Watch the Australian cast of SHREK sing Freak Flag!

Last week we were fortunate enough to pop into the media call for Shrek The Musical, and were blown away by the amazing and energetic performances from the cast.

“Freak Flag” is the show’s 11 o’clock number, where the Fairytale creatures realise that they should be harnessing their weirdness and individually instead of being downtrodden. It’s a fun and empowering song that will, no doubt, be stuck in your head for days.

Watch the performance below!

  • I saw Shrek Opening night and totally enthralled. I’m a bit b like Gabi... I spend far too much on stage shows. This was something I had no intention of seeing. I had bought tickets for my my 2 grand-daughters and they are so excited because I got them front row. They go this Sunday. Then it was announced Todd McKenney was going to play Lord Farquaad and I absolutely adore this brilliant talent of Todd so that was it. My daughter and I got tickets for Opening night and couldn’t believe it & as for Todd...is there a more versatile entertainer in Australia. He played his role so wonderful. Now, I’m going again this Sunday, but my little grundies don’t know yet. They’re getting a nice little collection of programs too & I love that they’re love being theatre goers. I’m hoping to get them to stage door to meet Todd, Lucy she is who they want to meet, and of course meeting any of the cast will be great for them. My daughter-in-law and daughter are taking me mid March and I’d love to be there closing night. Not bad for someone who didn’t want to go at all!! Thank you for such a great production... I loved it & so did everybody I spoke to. I’m a crazy Todd fan & he has made such an impression on my life that I wanted a permanent reminder of him, and asked him to autograph a part of my body, which he did and the very next day, I had it tattooed... I am 77 and the tattoo was done at 73!!! I don’t like tattoos and yet I have a few with special meaning! Thank you again.
