Watch Celestial Emu Live in Concert now

Whilst they are unable to bring you music live from the concert hall at the moment, The Metropolitan Orchestra want to stay connected and bring music direct to your home.

Over the coming weeks, they will share a selection of video recordings of their favourite concerts along with some specially created videos direct from their musicians’ lounge rooms to yours!

This First Video is the video recording of the world premiere performance of Celestial Emu by Keyna Wilkins and Gumaroy Newman which was featured in the first Met Concert of this year at the Seymour Centre.

This is an archival recording, meaning it does not have a professional audio recording (it uses a single microphone only). It still gives you an insight into how wonderful and special this world premiere performance was.

The performance was recorded live at the Everest Theatre, Seymour Centre, Sydney on Saturday, March 7th, 2020, conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams.

Grab your drink of choice, put this video on the big screen, turn up the sound and dim the lights! It’s a truly groundbreaking work.
