The Production Company’s second offering for 2014 is Oscar Hammerstein and Jerome Kern’s seminal musical Show Boat, starring Chrissy O’Neill, Gareth Keegan and Alinta Chidzey.
With themes of racial prejudice and tragic love, it follows the lives of a family of performers on the Cotton Blossom, a Mississippi river show boat. Show Boat is famous for exquisite songs like ‘Make Believe’, ‘Bill’, ‘Life Upon the Wicked Stage’, ‘Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man’ and ‘Ol’ Man River’.
