Photo Gallery – Aspects of Love; A glimpse into the rehearsal room

Frequent photographic contributor to AussieTheatre, David Hooley, is also an actor and about to take to the stage at Hayes Theatre Co in Aspects of Love. Combining his talents, he has put together this photo feature, taking us into the rehearsal room for a sneaky glimpse ahead of the show’s transfer to the theatre.

We’re now entering into our fourth week of rehearsals for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love. Rehearsals are always a favourite part of the process, and especially in this case, as the cast have been so rewarding to create with in the room. Our cast of 17 have undertaken the challenges which come with staging a fully sung-through dramatic musical with fearless commitment.

Aspects of Love is a passionate love story comprising of joy, romance and heart break. It requires great actors who can handle the vocal demands of the complex Webber score. It has been thrilling to witness the work of these extremely talented artists as they grasp the opportunity to reach the dramatic heights built into the piece. Our Aspects, though smaller in scale than the original West End Production, is still epic and sweeping. We have sought to bring a filmic quality to the staging as the show transitions over its 17-year storyline. We cannot wait to get into the theatre, with our abandoned French theatre design, and bring the world of these intriguing and complex characters to life.

Aspects of Love opens at The Hayes Theatre, Sydney from 22 of November 2018. For more information and ticket details visit: Hayestheatre.com.au/event/aspects-of-love
