AussieTheatre.com has been granted special backstage access to the biggest musical in the country, and our cameras were there to see it all.

In the video, Durack shows off some of the show’s props and costumes, and reveals a couple of great secrets about the musical.
Durack has played the role of Glinda since Wicked opened at the Regent Theatre in July 2008.

The musical essentially tells the back story to The Wizard Of Oz, and focuses on the two witches – Glinda the Good and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, played by Amanda Harrison who is currently off the show due to ill health.

Wicked first opened on Broadway in 2003 and has been one of the most successful stage shows of its generation, breaking box office records in virtually every city it has opened in.

The show is expected to run in Sydney until mid 2010 before embarking on a tour.

Meanwhile, Durack and Jemma RIx stunned the audience down at Darling Harbour in Sydney on Australia Day singing ‘For Good’ for a packed crowd. Durack was dressed by Charlie Brown and Rix was dressed by Wayne Cooper.
