AussieTheatre’s Ben Neutze caught up with choreographic legend Kelley Abbey at the final dress rehearsal of her opera debut – Opera Australia’s Salome.
Abbey choreographed the iconic ‘Dance of the Seven Veils’ for Gale Edwards’ brand new production of Salome, complete with a pole dancer, Marilyn Monroe and a french maid.
In this video, we see a sneak peek of the stunning choreography by Abbey and are afforded an insight into the production through discussion with dancers Caroline Kaspar and Emma Goh.
Salome is currently playing at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House starring Cheryl Barker.
