Mastress of Ceremonies

Wedding season is live and you are invited. Frock up, because you will not want to be the only one in the friend group who missed the train wreck that is about to become Alex and Nicole’s wedding.

Oversexed grandma? Check. Unprepared MC? Check. Secrets and drama and spanx at every turn? You betcha.

Meet Michelle. She will be your self appointed wedding guru, guide, Mastress of Ceremonies to take you through this magical evening to celebrate love (YUK) and the wedding of her best friend to her ex-boyfriend.

She wasn’t their first choice. Or their second. But she is all they’ve got, and she is determined to MC the heck out of this disaster of a wedding. Join Michelle as she attempts to hold herself and this night together, but the cake is on the table and all bets are off.

Heather Valentine stars in this intimate and hilarious one woman show as the last single girl standing in a room full of smug married couples. Directed by Carl Whiteside and fresh from a hit season at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2022, Mastress of Ceremonies is back for another crack at love…or at least a one-night stand with a groomsman.

Presented as part of Fine at Fringe and sponsored by the Howard Fine Acting Studio.
