Back by popular demand, this is QPAC, speakeasy-style.
Up the stairs and take the second door on the left…Club Cremorne is a world of laughs, lust, loops, and looseness.
Internationally renowned Brisbane-based comedian Damien Power leads you down the rabbit hole and delivers you to a variety of artists including versatile voice box Tom Thum, bewitching burlesque star Jacqueline Furey and Circus Company 2 (featuring Chelsea McGuffin, Danik Abeshev and Phoebe Armstrong) along with some surprise new acts. Sachém – a spoken word poet, rapper and emerging singer – is set to join the line-up lacing rhymes with personal stories that touch on poignant social and cultural issues that have and continue to impact his life. Also new to the incredible artistic assembly will be circus/physical theatre performer Mayu Muto and the king of ‘boylesque’ Mark Winmill.
Thrilling circus, kick-ass beats, poetry, rap, sassy burlesque, and piercing comedy are set to collide in this fun-filled variety night, so grab yourself a drink at the bar and settle in for the return of QPAC’s Club Cremorne. A bit crazy, a little naughty, and very entertaining.
