Some big changes at AussieTheatre.com

For those of you who have been paying attention around AussieTheatre.com, you may have picked up on a few changes. Some are very minor, like the new system which allows users to post comments after every article and review we publish on the site.

This is the first of a number of changes that we will be rolling out over the next few months as part of a plan to increase the level of community, sharing and feedback on AussieTheatre.com. We know our readers have opinions on the articles and content we publish, so we would like to hear them.

The biggest change, as many of you may have read, is that Troy Dodds is stepping away from this theatrical institution he created. My partner, Erin James (current Deputy Editor) and myself will be taking over from him over the course of this year.

It is going to be a very gentle handover throughout 2011. You will see some small incremental changes at the beginning on both the site and in the type of content that we are producing. The big change will be towards the end of the year when we are planning on launching a brand new AussieTheatre.com.

This is where YOU can get involoved and help shape the future of the site. In the next few months we are going to be planning the future face of AussieTheatre.com and we would love your feedback. What are we doing right? What are we doing wrong? What would you like more of? What does the Australian theatre community really need that no one is providing?

Our aim is to create a brand-spanking-new site, with input by our community, for our community. We are striving to provide everything the site already does and much, much more.

If you have any ideas or feedback for us now, then please leave a comment under this post, or email me at matt@aussietheatre.com.

Thanks Everyone.

Matt
