Les Mis – still the one

Despite having taken place some 10 years ago, I thought sharing this video with you today was appropriate for some light Sunday afternoon entertainment.

On January 25, 2002 after 6138 performances on Broadway, Les Mis claimed the title of 2nd longest running show in Broadway history, pushing A Chorus Line out of the 2nd top spot.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, former cast member joined the 2002 cast to perform an encore of ‘One Day More’, with a twist, which you will discover in this wonderful video from the official Les Miserables youtube channel. Les Miserable alumni who joined the 2002 cast on stage include Colm Wilkinson, Judy Kuhn, David Bryant, Jennifer Butt, and Leo Burmester.

With the Australian revival of A Chorus Line opening last night in Sydney, and the imminent release of Les Miserables on the silver screen, this little piece of musical theatre joy couldn’t be more relevant!
