The official movie trailer for Rock Of Ages has been released, and I thought I’d post it here for you all to have a look..
Movie musicals may have changed somewhat from the old classics like Singing in The Rain, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady, but boy am I glad that they are still being made!
I watched Mary Poppins 2-3 times a week (every time my Nan and Pop looked after me) for most of my childhood. If it wasn’t Mary Poppins, it was Alice in Wonderland, My Fair Lady, Grease, The Sound Of Music, and every Shirley Temple, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelley or Frank Sinatra movie I could find.
Now, with movie musicals made in this technologically advanced era, filmmakers have at their disposal incredible effects, the most wonderful sound quality, and a new generation of musical fans.
