François Arnaud, David Corenswet and Yvonne Strahovski Set for Broadway Revival of Three Days of Rain

François Arnaud, David Corenswet and Yvonne Strahovski will lead the first Broadway revival of Richard Greenberg’s Three Days of Rain, a new production directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro.

The revival is scheduled to begin performances in February 2027 at a Shubert Theatre, with the specific venue still to be announced. Additional dates and creative team details will be revealed later.

Greenberg’s play follows three people, a brother, his sister and their childhood friend, as they reunite in New York to settle the estate left behind by their parents. At the center of the story is the Janeway House, a celebrated architectural creation from the 1960s, and the unresolved question of which of two longtime architect partners deserves credit for its vision. As the younger generation sorts through inheritance, memory and old wounds, the play shifts into a deeper examination of family, art, love and legacy.

Shapiro praised the play’s emotional range and intellectual wit, calling it one of the most beautiful works she has encountered. She described Greenberg’s world as funny, intricate and deeply affecting, with a story that moves across generations of New York thinkers and artists.

Arnaud will make his Broadway debut in the dual role of Pip and Theo. He is known for Heated Rivalry, along with screen credits including Count My Lies, Twinless, F**ktoys and the forthcoming projects Abril, Someone’s Daughter and Alice.

Corenswet will also make his Broadway debut, playing Walker and Ned. He recently starred as Clark Kent in the 2025 film Superman and is set to return to the role in Man of Tomorrow. His other credits include Twisters, The Greatest Hits, Pearl, We Own This City, Hollywood and The Politician.

Strahovski will play Nan and Lina. An Emmy nominee for The Handmaid’s Tale, she previously appeared on Broadway in Lincoln Center Theater’s Golden Boy. Her screen work includes Teacup, Stateless, The Tomorrow War and Bad Monkey.

Three Days of Rain first reached Broadway in 2006 in a production directed by Joe Mantello. That staging starred Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper and Paul Rudd, and earned Tony nominations for Santo Loquasto’s scenic design and Paul Gallo’s lighting design. The production played 26 previews and 70 regular performances.

The upcoming revival will mark the play’s first return to Broadway since that original run.
